Statistics indicate that the African American male population is one of the most distressed in our society. What factors contribute to the ongoing deterioration of educational status for African American male students? How can educators provide support for this at-risk group? Join African American male educators from Columbus, OH public schools as they share their experiences and deepen participants' understanding of the challenges confronting students of color, particularly males. There will also be facilitated discussion of intervention strategies and ways to create an action plan to empower these students.
